Le Baou - our little stone cottage in Bargemon

We love our little stone cottage on the top of a hill, approx. 500 meter above sea-level, in the backhills of Var. Away from the rush along the riviera but still close if you want to drive for swim. The views are fantastic and this old stone cottage are for those who appreciate an autentic old house, peace  & quiet.

We only rent the house out occasionally. Send us a mail for availability.

It is a requirement to use our caretakers for final cleaning. 

It is a house build in natural stones with all is charms and inconviniences but we think also a little peace of heaven. Some of the house is old f.etc one of the bathrooms has not been renovated yet and the kitchen is rutic and even if we just installed a new septic tank it is still an old summer cottage and not a new modern house. Originally they kept sheeps here. There is a lot of wildlife. Wild pigs, bats, ants and insects. Dont leave food out inside or outside. Be prepared but also enjoy the change from home. 

You can easily go for a little run to the local baker in the morning or walk to the village for dinner & drinks. Only 20 min. walk.  Or you can do yoga on one of the many terasses.

The coast is 30 kms drive away. The lake only 20 km. Let us recommend lunch in Saint Tropez or Cannes or a beautiful hike along the Sentier du Littoral in St. Tropez or the red rocks near Santa Lucia Habour/Frejus. There is also climbing, hiking, swiming,  sailing etc. in Gorges du Verdon for the adventures types. Only 20 minuttes for the "Wine rute" with lots of winetasting or a hike and maybe a swim/picnic in Gorges de Penneforte. You also meet many bikers in the mountains.
